Tariffs will be increased in regions with the largest number of mining farms; these are the Trans-Baikal Territory, the Irkutsk Region and the Republic of Buryatia.

The Ministry of Energy also proposes creating commissions to monitor crypto farms. They will check areas where equipment consumes electricity close to its maximum capacity.

Entities that own mining farms disagree with the Ministry of Energy and believe that this will lead to power outages, loss of farms and their closure. Therefore, Roman Zabuga, co-owner of BWC Mining, said such restrictions could lead to the closure of the entire industry. He also believes the testing of the equipment is legally questionable.
