This chip, created using Samsung’s 4nm process technology, is positioned as a mid-range solution and could hit the market as early as this month.
Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 features an octa-core processor that includes four Cortex-A78-based Kyro Gold cores clocked at 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A55-based Kyro Silver cores clocked at 1.95GHz.
The processor is accompanied by the Adreno 710 graphics accelerator, which can process displays with FullHD + resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz.
The new product supports the FastConnect 6700 platform and Snapdragon X62 5G modem, providing download speeds of up to 2.9 Gbps. 5G networks are supported in both sub-6GHz and mmWave ranges, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E.
In the field of photography, the new product supports a camera with a resolution of up to 200 megapixels and many artificial intelligence-based functions. In addition, the chip supports LPDDR5 RAM with a frequency of 3200 MHz, Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ fast charging technology and many more features.
Let us note that, according to the latest rumors, the first smartphones with the new chip will be models belonging to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 series, which are expected to be announced in the near future.
