Astell&Kern announced the start of sales of the new premium player Astell&Kern SE300.
The body of the device is made of impact, it has streamlined surfaces that represent the “flow of music.” The gadget also uses stainless steel and glass. The bottom of the device curves smoothly, providing a more ergonomic grip when using the player.
Control is carried out using a touch screen and a side wheel responsible for volume.
A 5.46-inch display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels is responsible for displaying information. There is support for Bluetooth 5.0 with LDAC and aptX-HD codecs. Format settings include: FLAC, WMA, MP3, OGG, APE, AAC, ALAC, AIFF, DFF, DSF.
The new product is equipped with a 24-bit R-2R DAC, external class A/AB amplifiers based on patented TERATON ALPH technology, as well as 96 resistors with a resistance of 0.01% and TCR10.
The R-2R DAC, also known as the Ladder DAC, delivers natural yet dynamic hi-fi sound.
The player supports two AMP modes: A and AB.
The first is a separate amplifier that offers the best linear output, amplifying signals without cost or loss, and creating soft, warm and natural sounds. The second provides output and high efficiency, resulting in dynamic and clear sound with added harmonic changes.
The gadget supports a two-stage gain mode for wide sounds, including the output sound.
The capacity of the built-in battery is 5050 mAh, which is enough for 12 hours of operation. There is a USB-C port for charging, which takes about 3.5 hours.
The Astell&Kern SE300 player is already on sale in Russia at the preferred price of 218,990 rubles in Dr.Head and Pult stores.
