The developer of the business communication and collaboration platform Webinar Group (part of the MTS digital ecosystem) bought the Russian online interactive whiteboard service Jespo from its founders. This is stated in the webinar group message.
The transaction amount is not disclosed. It should be noted that negotiations on the purchase have been taking place since December 2022. The company clarified that it acquired 100% of Jespo.
Through the transaction, Webinar Group hopes to be more competitive in the B2B product market and strengthen its offering in the field of business communications.
Product development at Webinar Group will be handled by a separate department, headed by Jespo founders Alexander and Ivan Bogatov.
Jespo is an endless online collaboration whiteboard that can be used to create all types of diagrams and diagrams, roadmaps, planning and retrospectives within the Scrum approach.
The solution was created to simplify distributed team interaction and project management through visualization and a common workspace. The service is already integrated with the Webinar platform: users can add interactive whiteboards to events, as well as register in Jespo directly from the meeting.
MTS bought 75.5% of Webinar LLC and Webinar Technologies LLC in 2022 for 2.1 billion rubles. Webinar Group itself appeared in 2008. The company is developing a service for online meetings and conferences Webinar Meetings, a platform for holding webinars and online events Webinar, a platform for organizing blended learning for employees, clients, partners and students We.Study.
