According to the diplomat, Russian Lada cars will soon appear in Ethiopia’s neighboring countries, as the country will begin producing cars for the markets of Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia and Kenya.

Uriat, in an interview with TASS, noted that other Russian manufacturers are also showing interest in cooperating with Ethiopia. Two of them are carrying out consultations.

AvtoVAZ, along with Sollers and Moskvich, joined the US sanctions list in September.

As the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, said the day before, AvtoVAZ is unlikely to have to pay the excess profits tax in 2023, as the automaker does not fall into the criteria that requires a payment. additional to the Russian budget.
