AFK Sistema has ceased to be the owner of the Sistema SmartTech risk fund, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

AFK Sistema withdrew from the capital of the Sistema SmartTech venture fund

The structure of PJSFC Sistema – Sistema Telecom Assets LLC – does not own 90% of Sistema Smarttech Management LLC since September 26. The share passed to Trans Capital JSC.

The remaining 10% of the company remained in the hands of Capital Invest LLC, with Dmitry Sherstobitov being its beneficiary.

AFK Sistema confirmed to Interfax the sale of the management company of the Sistema SmartTech fund and noted that the new owners of the company are not affiliated with the corporation.

  • The SmartTech System Fund was created in 2020 to invest in startups mainly of Russian origin at an early stage of development.
  • At the time of its creation, it was reported that the fund was being created for eight years with a five-year investment period. The target volume of the fund is 5 billion rubles; AFK was supposed to be the anchor investor.
  • The Sistema SmartTech Foundation invested in the career guidance platform for teenagers Profilum, the electric scooter rental service Urent, the car subscription service The Mashina, the application development platform Directual and the part-time job search platform MyGig.
