The lawsuit, led by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and supported by 17 state attorneys general, accuses Amazon of unfairly promoting its platform and services through third-party sellers on its online marketplace.
Specifically, the FTC alleges that Amazon forces sellers to use its own logistics services to qualify for Prime and limits competition by forcing them to list products at rock-bottom prices.
The company denied the allegations, saying its actions encouraged competition, innovation and choice in retail.
