The wealth of the richest Russian billionaires has increased by $21.1 billion since the beginning of 2023. This is demonstrated by the latest data from Bloomberg’s ranking of the richest people on the planet.
Lukoil founder Vagit Alekperov increased his financial fortune more than anyone else this year (+6.4 billion dollars). The founder of Eurochem, Andrei Melnichenko, and the chairman of the board of directors of the Novolipetsk metallurgical plant, Vladimir Lisin, became richer by $3.4 billion.
The fortune of Novatek co-owners Gennady Timchenko and Leonid Mikhelson increased this year by $2.7 billion, and that of former Lukoil Vice President Leonid Fedun by $2.6 billion.
The leader of the anti-ratings was businessman Suleiman Kerimov: his fortune, according to Bloomberg, decreased by $1.48 billion to $7.52 billion.
By the end of 2022, the total wealth of Russian billionaires decreased by $94 billion.
