Game publisher and developer Astrum Entertainment appointed a new CEO: Alexey Izotov, originally from VK (then Mail.ru Group). This was reported to RB.RU by a representative of Astrum Entertainment.
The company’s former CEO, Sergey Efremov, will take over as COO (chief operating officer).
Izotov began his career in the gaming industry in 2008. He held key positions within the VK gaming block (then Mail.ru Group), including the position of head of publishing and development of games for PC and consoles.
Izotov participated in the commercialization of large game projects, worked with foreign partners and collaborated with companies such as NetEase, Smilegate, Booming Games.
“The industry in Russia is undergoing global changes and we, as the largest and most experienced player, will be able to be at the forefront of active market growth. Astrum Ent has built a solid team and with them I will be able to apply my experience working with European and Asian companies. We plan to continue delivering global successes to the gaming community,” Izotov commented on his appointment.
- Astrum Entertainment’s portfolio includes games such as Atomic Heart, Warface, Perfect World, Lost Ark, Battle Teams 2 and others. The average MAU of the company’s products (monthly unique users) is more than 1 million players, and the total number of registrations since the beginning of the year has exceeded 110 million users.
- Astrum Entertainment emerged as a result of the separation of part of the My.Games business. This happened after the new owner of My.Games, Alexander Chachava, restructured his gaming assets.
