The developers of the Letim application, which allows Russians to open a virtual card of the Turkish payment system Troy, have started producing plastic cards. This was reported to RB.RU by the Letim press service.
Any verified Letim user can order a Troy payment system card in a special section of the application. The card has no name and is linked to Letim user accounts. You can replenish the card by transfer from a Russian account in the application; The balance of the card will be equal to the balance of the electronic wallet.
The application appeared in the AppStore and Google Play application stores in early August 2023. Letim allows Russian tourists to transfer funds from their accounts in Russian banks through SBP and pay for purchases in stores and establishments in Turkey, online stores , as well as withdraw cash from local ATMs using a QR code.
The application is authorized by the Central Bank of Türkiye.
Using a physical card, users will be able to make contactless payments without having mobile Internet enabled.
Cards are issued in Turkey and delivery is available in 17 Russian cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Perm, Voronezh, Omsk, Rostov-on-Don, Ufa, Samara, Krasnoyarsk, Chelyabinsk, Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Yekaterinburg. , Novosibirsk and Vladivostok.
The card is also delivered throughout Türkiye (81 cities). Card delivery time is 1 to 4 business days. The user pays only for delivery: for Turkey it is 100 lira (about 300 rubles), for Russia – 250 lira (about 800 rubles).
