According to Evgeny Shcheklanov, head of SberInsurance Life Insurance, more than 60 percent of Russian residents actively use artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in daily life, but only 38 percent trust these technologies. According to his post on the International Banking Forum, the most active users of AI-powered services are young people aged 18-30, reaching 88% of the usage rate.
The most popular among survey respondents were navigation services and online maps of road routes, used by 57% of respondents. 16% of respondents use smart speakers, 4% use voice assistants, and only 3% use smart home functions. Only 1% of survey participants use chatbots.
Shcheklanov, Moscow (78%), St. Residents of St. Petersburg (77%), Kirov (74%), Togliatti (73%) and Ryazan (68%) are the most active users of artificial intelligence technologies. Men are 66% vs. 34% more likely to use these services than women, respectively.
Regarding trust in artificial intelligence, only 38% of respondents expressed confidence in it. The highest confidence was shown by residents of Naberezhnye Chelny (52%), Astrakhan and Moscow (45%) and Kazan (44%). One in every two participants in the age group between 18 and 40 years old showed that they trust artificial intelligence.
