In the future, AI will resemble a huge, complex multi-layered brain, some of which will exist for billions of years. This vision was presented by Andrey Lavrentyev, head of technology development department at Kaspersky Lab.
His idea is similar to the concept in Robert Wilson’s trilogy, which describes a huge neural brain that exists at the level of the entire Universe. This megabrain has been observing and analyzing processes on a global time scale for billions of years. He sees long-term change. However, local artificial intelligence is needed for shorter time periods and accurate analysis.
Based on this concept, future AI will be a decentralized system consisting of many AI hubs. This will ensure the stability and reliability of the system, as different artificial brains will offer different options for analyzing situations, which is necessary to solve complex problems where the correct path cannot be determined in advance. This approach will be evolutionary and will allow the system to evolve over time.
