The MacRumors resource discovered a mention of USB-C in the Apple Pencil in the iOS 17.1 code. The two lines of code in the “pencil” circuit say “Connect to USB-C to charge soon” and “Apple Pencil battery is very low.”

Last year, Apple released a USB-C adapter for the Apple Pencil. However, the fact that the company has added these lines now most likely hints at a fully updated Pencil.
