In the last 10 years, the power of the company’s graphics cards has increased 1000 times. Bill Dally, the company’s chief scientific officer, shared his view that the main reason for this growth is not technological advances in processors.

Instead, innovation in software and architecture plays an important role.

“Huang’s Law” was first introduced by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang in 2018. He noted at the time that his company’s GPUs had become 25 times faster in the last 5 years, significantly exceeding predictions based on Moore’s Law.

Jensen Huang also previously expressed the opinion that “Moore’s Law is dead” and that chips will become even more expensive in the future.
