Thailand has extended the visa-free regime for Russian citizens to 30 days. Previously, Russians could stay in the kingdom without a visa for 30 days. To extend your visa without a visa, you must contact your local immigration office and pay.
Thailand has extended the maximum period of visa-free stay in the kingdom for Russians to 60 days. The decision in this regard was made by the Thai immigration service, TASS reports.
Previously, Russian citizens could stay in Thailand without a visa for a maximum of 30 days. They were given the opportunity to extend their visa-free stay by seven days.
To extend the visa-free period from 30 to 60 days, a Russian citizen must contact the Thai immigration service and pay 1,900 baht (about 5,000 rubles).
On October 2, Russian Ambassador to Thailand Evgeny Tomikhin announced Thailand’s plans to expand the visa-free regime for Russians.
Since the beginning of 2023, 977 thousand tourists from Russia have visited Thailand. At the end of 2022, the flow of Russian tourists to Thailand increased 14 times compared to 2021.
