The thermal power plant provides heat to the city of Nikolaevsk-on-Amur and settlements adjacent to the city.

The company explained that switching to natural gas “improves both environmental and economic operating parameters.”

Now the old equipment is being dismantled on the fifth boiler. Commissioning is planned for 2024.
