The Tax Committee of Uzbekistan required Yandex Go to register in the country as a tax resident. The authorities granted the service a period of two months; otherwise it will be blocked.
The Yandex Go service was required to register as a tax resident in Uzbekistan. A message in this regard was published on the Telegram channel of the country’s Fiscal Committee.
The company Ridetech International, which operates Yandex Go, must organize its work within the framework of Uzbek legislation and issue automatically generated tax receipts to clients.
The Tax Committee gave Yandex Go two months to eliminate the violations. Otherwise, the department will contact the Ministry of Digital Technologies with a request to block the service.
Yandex Go continues to operate in Uzbekistan as usual and is in dialogue with local authorities, the service told RBC.
Yandex Go began operating in Uzbekistan in 2018. Currently, the service provides services in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Fergana, Andijan.
