While PBKreviews doesn’t directly compare the Pixel 8 Pro to other flagship phones like the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra or iPhone 15 Pro Max, the first photos already show off its capabilities.
It is especially noteworthy that although the device only has a 5x telephoto camera, it can maintain image quality at 10x digital zoom. However, it’s unclear whether the Pixel 8 Pro uses its telephoto camera to take zoom shots in all lighting conditions. There is some pixelation in night shots taken with 10x and 30x digital zoom.
PBKreviews also tested the Pixel 8 Pro’s video capabilities, finding that the camera performed well in daylight but suffered some stuttering when panning at night.
