This long-term flaw was related to tooltips not disappearing when switching between windows or desktops.
The problem was noticed by user Adam Price in 2002. He discovered that when he hovered over an item in Mozilla and changed the window, the tooltip remained on the screen.
This error has been confirmed by many users and remained unresolved for decades.
The solution to the problem came from Yifan Zhu, a student born just three years before this bug appeared. Despite having no experience working with projects as complex as Firefox, Zhu decided to take on the task of fixing this bug.
He did research, found the cause of the problem, and proposed a solution that was successfully adopted by the Firefox team.
