The robot is very large in size and uses an exoskeleton-like structure that surrounds the operator and is responsive to his commands. This giant robot, called Archax, has a height of 4.5 meters and a mass of more than 3.5 tons, its limbs and arms precisely follow the movements of the operator.

Archax is not a walking robot, its mobility is provided by wheels. Although it can reach a top speed of 10 km per hour, it will not be able to race on public roads anytime soon. Housing this giant would likely require a significant amount of land.

Pilots can control Archax from the inside using joysticks, pedals and displays connected to the robot’s cameras. The robot has a touch screen for ease of use. To ensure safety, there is an emergency stop button in case something goes wrong.

Although Archax was initially marketed as a robot, it embodies a hybrid concept that blurs the lines between robot and machine. Tsubame Industries plans to use the Archax for a variety of purposes, including space exploration and disaster relief, but it is currently available for pre-order for a price of $2.7 million.
