The volume of real estate investment transactions in Russia for the nine months of 2023 reached 610 billion rubles. RBC writes about this with reference to a study by IBC Real Estate.

610 billion rubles for the partial year of 2023, that is, 23% more than for the entire year 2022 and twice as much as for the same period in 2022. Quarterly investments in real estate also set a record: according to the results of the third quarter of 2023, they reached 239 billion rubles.

The leader in real estate investment was the retail segment: it accounted for 46% of the total volume of investment transactions, or 280 billion rubles in monetary terms. The significant growth of the indicator was affected by the closing of transactions associated with the exit of Western participants from the market.

A quarter of total real estate investments in Russia were invested in the residential segment. In third place in the ranking are office premises with a share of 16%.

Last year, the volume of real estate investment transactions amounted to 494 billion rubles, which represents an increase of 36% until 2021. The leader by segment in 2022 was residential real estate – it accounted for 45% of the market.
