A bill on registration of electric scooters and similar devices through the portal of state services has been submitted to the State Duma. The document includes the issuance of numbers to identify owners and the implementation of government control measures. MPs from the LDPR and the Ministry of Transport support this measure, arguing that it will reduce the number of accidents involving such devices.

According to the bill, SIM registration will be carried out through state services and owners will be given numbers. The procedure for this procedure will be determined by the government. Lawmakers believe current legislation does not adequately regulate the use of these devices.

The Ministry of Transport and the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate have already tightened SIM rules, including speed limits, bans on driving on highways and other restrictions. Failure to comply with these rules will result in a fine. But Moscow has begun creating speed zones for scooters due to concerns about the number of these devices on the roads and uncertainty about checking their registration.
