I’ve been actively using the iPhone 17 Pro for almost a month now.
As always, this is an amazing iPhone. And this year it has become even better (it would be strange if it were worse). There have been a lot of impressions over the years, but potential opportunities have already been shared in a separate review article.
Today I will dwell on some of the nuances that I pay attention to. And I complement the old feelings from the review. Briefly, succinctly and optionally.
The orange color is NOT boring, but there is an annoying moment
Oh, and how many reviews I have seen and heard about the color of the new iPhone 17 Pro. It’s really not for everyone.
Personally, I was tired of the faded monotony of Pro-Models, so I consciously took the red version for myself. This “fox” does not infuriate, does not irritate, does not cause negative emotions.
Even the presence of orange frames doesn’t bother me at all. Everyone who says that they are conspicuous and intrusive/distracting either saw this iPhone in a store, or in a photo, or spent at most one day with it, if not less.
ethical The frames are not noticeable at all and do not in any way interfere with video viewing or other problems.
I objectively liked the new color of the case at the start, and I still like it now. It looks great in any photos, it just sits well on the table with its head down. I don’t experience any problems with “tiredness”.
He gets too much attention
But there is a moment that is annoying in work. If a new iPhone came out before, people didn’t pay attention to it, because it didn’t stand out much from the previous ones. But now there’s a new red iPhone 17 Pro constantly collects glances.
Yes, even after a month I still meet people who whisper like “wow, he has a new iPhone.” And someone can directly ask about their impressions of him.
What are your impressions? This is an iPhone. The same as always.
What’s the deal with heating?
Not a cold, but not a hot iPhone
Even in the hottest conditions, the iPhone 17 Pro’s screen remains bright. He just didn’t get to the point where he had to reduce his productivity.
With partial heating, Apple was not lying. The vapor chamber combined with a solid aluminum body does the job well and does not cause problems even in games. comfort.
I load my iPhone daily because I work with it. And during all this time there was never even a hint of throttling. I don’t watch iOS 26 on myself, which periodically loves some applications, I just throw it out of my memory (most often Telegram).
If previously the iPhone only heated up in one room, now temperature is maintained throughout the entire body. And thanks to this, the overall feeling of the smartphone is better, since it is cooler.
The body has never reached uncomfortable results.
Wipe it down
And it’s annoying
A sudden minus that was not so obvious to me.
Due to the fact that there is now a “plateau” on top and the corners are more chamfered, just don’t wipe the iPhone with your finger. This will happen if debris or dust gets into the gap. The victims already do this with a cloth or a cotton swab. Or a fingernail.
And the camera block itself gets dirty and leaves streaks. And if before this was not such a problem, because the block was small, now it occupies a good third of the rear panel. panels, and these stains are visible even better. And, again, it is best to wipe with a cloth to achieve a 100% result.
Little things
- Holds charge about the samelike iPhone 16 Pro. Maybe a little better
- New camera with 4x tuned optics in use than with a 5x zoom. And 8x pictures come out quite like this, even at night
- 256 GB in the version version is top. I didn’t think I’d say this, since I’m used to turning on the limiters right away so as not to save space in advance. Here I haven’t activated some of the limits, there’s still enough space
- The effect of the “cheapness” of the case quickly disappeared. Now I use the iPhone 17 Pro as comfortably as I did with the iPhone 16 Pro (the second one is often at hand, so I have something to compare with)
