TikTok Music announced new tools to help users discover new music this Thursday (19). The platform uses ChatGPT’s artificial intelligence in a virtual assistant designed to find the perfect pieces for users.

The personal assistant’s name is Tonik. It’s built on the same generative model that powers OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The resource can: Answer questions on a wide range of topics including artists, tracks, playlists, shows and tickets.

Additionally, Tonic can: Provides contextual information about songs and key events in an artist’s career.

“TikTok Music has been very well received by music fans in Brazil and Indonesia since its launch in July. We’re excited to be rolling out even more features for our users today, including Tonik, our new personal music discovery assistant. Our community can enjoy more music on TikTok Music.” We aim to help people discover and share,” said Maria Elisa Silva, TikTok Latin America Marketing Manager.

Musical environments in the app

Another new feature announced this Thursday (19) is FYP Tuning, a dedicated area in the app that lets you choose between scenes and music settings.

TikTok has launched a special section to help you get in the mood.

According to the prints published by TikTok, this function is something like “immersion” in the musical style. Tool allows you to choose between different genres to help the user get in the mood.
