The main requirement for any wire is high reliability. So as not to fray and burst in at the most inopportune moment. This is exactly what the creators of Super Cable focused on in 2019 while raising money on Kickstarter, assuring that the accessory would become that “indestructible” cable.
Believed and invested in its creation as a crowdfunding opportunity several months before production began. It was an interesting experience: I regularly received news with photos about how the company was setting up production. It took 5 months from placing the order to receiving the cable.
Now, at the end of 2023, this cable from the Korean startup Horizon not only still works, but looks like new. It is MFi certified and USB PD compliant for fast charging of my iPhone.
Inside each wiring is additionally wrapped in ballistic nylon, which is used in the creation of body armor, so I am inclined to believe that this cable can really be used to tow a car if desired, as we were convinced during the kickstarter campaign.
Such cables are still produced, here is a link to their official website. Delivery to Russia has recently appeared, price plus 5 dollars to the cost of the cable. I would love to buy another one as a spare.
