The leak affects almost 1 million bank clients. Full names, phone numbers, dates of birth, TIN, citizenship, email, as well as partial bank card numbers are freely available.
The agency drew up an administrative protocol that violated medical data laws. He will be taken to court. MTS Bank faces a fine of 60 thousand to 100 thousand rubles.
After publishing about the hack in Telegram channels, MTS Bank stated that “the leak of banking secrets has not been confirmed, the information presented in the database does not allow attackers to conduct financial transactions on behalf of bank clients.” [Ведомости]
