The Moscow Stock Exchange will resume trading in VK shares on October 20. They were detained due to the company’s redomiciliation: VK announced a “move” from the British Virgin Islands to Russia. Shareholders approved the change of jurisdiction on September 11.
Trading in VK ordinary shares on the Moscow Stock Exchange will resume on October 20. This was reported by the site’s press service.
“From October 20, 2023, all settlement codes allowed for this type of securities will be available,” the Moscow Exchange noted.
VK shares were temporarily withdrawn from trading on the Moscow Stock Exchange on September 19 due to a change in the company’s jurisdiction. VK previously announced the change of domicile from the British Virgin Islands to the administrative zone of the Kaliningrad region. VK shareholders approved this decision on September 11.
The next day, VK stopped trading its securities on the London Stock Exchange. Trading in the company’s receipts on the LSE has been suspended since March 2022.
On September 18, VK changed the depository bank for its receipt program. The new depositary was RCS Issuer Services S.AR.L.
