In the two years since its release, Windows 11 has been installed on just 400 million desktops and laptops worldwide. According to StatCounter statistics, Windows 11 has only 23.6% of the Windows market, while Windows 10 still leads with a 71.6% share.

This slow transition is due to several factors. Windows 10 has proven to be very successful; It offered a familiar user interface and feature set that users appreciated. It also continues to be supported by Microsoft and will continue to receive security patches for the next two years.

Among enterprise users, the transition to a new operating system has been slow due to technical issues and financial concerns, especially for companies with certain hardware running older operating systems. Also, the obstacle to switching to Windows 11 is that it is resource intensive, as well as having a few interesting features that are not available in Windows 10.

At the same time, Microsoft is already working on Windows 12, so users are in no hurry to switch to Windows 11 when a new version appears on the horizon.
