Tourist accommodation booking services have noted a notable increase in hotel prices in Russia’s popular ski resorts. The average cost of one night in winter-spring 2024 increased by 15% year-on-year, up to 10.6 thousand rubles.
RBC reports this with reference to the MTS Travel service. According to Ostrovok.ru, the average price in Russia increased by 25% year-on-year, up to 10 thousand rubles per night. Representatives of Yandex.Travel cite a similar figure – 10.4 thousand rubles per night (+8% compared to last year).
The most popular destinations among ski lovers remain the Krasnodar Territory, the Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria regions, the Stavropol Territory, Kemerovo and Murmansk.
Prices for accommodation in Sochi resorts increased the most in absolute terms: Rosa Khutor, Krasnaya Polyana and Gazprom. Here, according to MTS Travel, the average check per night from January 9 to the end of April 2024 was 13 thousand rubles, 26% more than the previous year.
Ostrovok.ru notes an increase in the average check per night in Krasnaya Polyana hotels by 32% year-on-year, up to 12.5 thousand rubles. According to Yandex.Travel, tourists look for accommodation not only directly in tourist centers, but also in nearby large cities. Thus, the average cost of one night in Sochi increased by almost 6%, up to 12.3 thousand rubles.
At the same time, the cost of housing in other winter resorts has also increased considerably. For example, according to MTS Travel, the average check per night in hotels in Sheregesh is 8 thousand rubles (+20% year-on-year), in Bolshoy Vudyavr – 7.3 thousand rubles (+27%).
According to Ostrovok analysts, tourist housing in Sheregesh has risen in price to 10.2 thousand rubles (+31%), and in Dombay – to 6.5 thousand rubles (+30%).
Representatives of reservation services report that there are still enough rooms available in ski resort hotels, but when the holidays approach, their cost will only increase.
