While one of these is expected to be an incremental update with a similar form factor, the second one, codenamed J537 and J538, is said to have more significant hardware differences. According to recent reports, Apple may introduce a larger 12.9-inch iPad Air, possibly with an LCD display instead of MiniLED.
This move could offer consumers a more affordable option for a large tablet ideal for media consumption and daily use.
Interestingly, 9to5Mac conducted a poll on whether its readers would buy the new, larger iPad. And yes, most of the votes were in favor, but there were also those who were still ready to buy a new tablet from Apple, although they were not significantly more expensive.
The 10.9-inch iPad Air currently retails for $599, while the 12.9-inch iPad Pro retails for $1,099.
