A third of Russian companies reduce their working hours on Fridays, according to the survey. In most of these companies, employees leave work an hour early. This practice increases staff loyalty, respondents noted.
28% of companies in Russia practice shorter working days on Fridays, a survey by Rabota.ru and SberPodbor services showed.
In 26% of organizations, employees leave work an hour early on Friday; in 2%, staff return home after lunch. Most Russian companies (72%) do not practice shorter working hours and work according to a standard schedule throughout the week.
64% of recruiters who participated in the survey noted that a shorter work day increases employee loyalty. 43% of respondents trust that this practice motivates staff to work harder to leave earlier. 7% of respondents did not find any advantage in reducing working hours.
More than 350 business representatives from all regions of Russia took part in the study.
