On October 27, Avto.ru started an experiment to introduce an online sales mechanism for used cars. A representative of the service reported this to RB.RU.

Avto.ru began testing the online sale of used cars.

In the first stage, users will be able to reserve a suitable car online and complete the transaction with a partner.

Currently, the program includes cargo vans, platforms and passenger modifications “Gazelle NN”, “Sobol NN”, “Gazelle NEXT” and “Gazelle Business”. All cars are no more than 7 years old and have a mileage of less than 250 thousand km.

All vehicles offered for sale on the site within the framework of this program undergo an assessment of the technical condition and a thorough pre-sale check of many parameters, such as verification of mileage, registration of the current condition of the vehicle and consideration of characteristics. of the configuration, the absence of legal restrictions on registration actions, the readability and security of VIN numbers.

All information is recorded on a diagnostic card, which the buyer can view by opening a sales advertisement on Avto.ru.

After selecting the car, you need to click on the “Buy” button and indicate your contact information and your bank card number to freeze 10 thousand rubles, which will be returned to the buyer after redeeming the car or in case of cancellation. the transaction.

After completing the transaction, the buyer will receive a reservation confirmation message, which will be valid for three days. Therefore, Avto.ru guarantees that the price of the car will not change during the reservation period and will not be sold. After this, all that remains is to go to the dealership to sign the purchase and sale contract and make payment for the vehicle.

The buyer will also be able to return the car and the money if there are problems with the engine or gearbox, as long as no more than 14 days have passed from the date of purchase and the mileage has not exceeded 500 kilometers.

The project partners were official Luidor distribution centers in eight cities: Kazan, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Ufa, St. Petersburg, Cheboksary, Chelyabinsk. The center’s specialists will carry out an inspection, photograph each vehicle, and also fill out a diagnostic card.
