The company finally decided to introduce the model to the world market and conquer mobile gamers. The new product is actually the slightly renamed Legion Tab Y700 2023, which was previously exclusive to China.
The tablet features an 8.8-inch QuadHD+ PureSight display with a 144Hz refresh rate, which is a great option for gaming. The screen size is smaller than standard tablets, but this makes the Legion Tab easier to use. Brightness is adequate (500 nits) and the DCI-PC color gamut is covered.
The tablet’s dimensions are modest, its weight is light, and its back panel and sides are covered in metal. Lenovo added vibration feedback for an even more immersive gaming experience; There are also dual speakers with Dolby Atmos.
But it’s a bit of a shame for the processor. There’s no latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 inside. The chip is still powerful, especially considering the custom cooling system, but I’d like to see something more modern.
There is a lot of RAM – 12 GB LPDDR5X, as well as 256 GB of internal memory, expandable via microSD card. The 6550 mAh battery and 45 W fast charging via USB Type-C are not bad for this size.
Testing on the Chinese version of the tablet has already shown that it will run PUGB Mobile at a stable 90 FPS and Genshin Impact at a smooth 60 FPS. The Legion Tab is also great for cloud gaming.
Lenovo Legion Tab will be available in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia in March 2024 for €599.
