The income of Russian self-employed workers with payments in rubles increased by 63% this year. Pavel Shinkarenko, founder of Solar Staff, told RTVI.
In 2022, a Russian freelancer earned an average of 30.4 thousand rubles per month. In 2023, the amount increased to 49.5 thousand rubles per month.
The income of self-employed workers who receive fees in foreign currency increased by 24% year-on-year to 109 thousand rubles per month, Solar Staff noted.
The share of freelancers working and receiving orders from Russian companies decreased from 73% to 69%. This happened because freelancers who left Russia in 2022 began to enter local markets, according to Solar Staff.
