Raiffeisenbank once again updates the conditions for carrying out currency transactions for individuals. Starting November 1, outgoing transfers in euros of more than 30,000 euros per month will only be possible to several European countries, according to the credit institution’s website.
The list of several dozen states does not include Armenia, Kazakhstan and Georgia, which are popular with relocated Russians.
You can transfer up to €30 thousand per month to countries that are not on the list. Additionally, the minimum amount for a transaction is 20,000 euros and the monthly limit applies to all transfers, not to specific countries. There were no restrictions on incoming transfers.
The reason for the change in the conditions of the organization was the requirements of correspondent banks.
From August 1, Raiffeisenbank will no longer accept dollars and euros in cash at its ATM checkouts. And since September, the organization began charging a fee for incoming dollar transfers.
Since spring, Raiffeisen Bank International has been exploring options to sell its Russian business or separate its subsidiary Raiffeisenbank from the group’s perimeter.
