This feature was announced for Windows 11 but is currently in the top 10.
Windows 10 version 22H2 (build number 19045.3636) users will notice that some apps in the Start menu now have a new “system” label after installing the KB5031445 update.
This indicates that the application is part of the operating system. Interestingly, Microsoft implemented this change in Windows 10 without mentioning it in the release notes.
You should understand that, despite the presence of the label, this does not mean a ban or the impossibility of deleting the application. Most standard programs can still be removed using conventional methods.
We would like to remind you that Windows 10 is approaching the end of its lifecycle in October 2025, and although we do not expect major updates or new features, Microsoft may introduce a few more small changes to improve the user experience.
