The Russian company Ladoga, which produces and imports alcoholic products (Tsarskaya vodka), is planning an initial public offering (IPO) in 2025, the company’s president and co-owner Veniamin Grabar told RBC.

Ladoga, which produces Tsarskaya vodka, is planning an IPO in 2025.

Currently, the manufacturer is preparing to carry out a first bond issue worth 2 billion rubles. As Grabar clarified, this is required “to obtain the practice of advertising.” In preparation for the IPO, the company is supported by VTB, Sber and Absolut.

According to the forecasts of the president of Ladoga, by the time of the IPO the Russian stock market will have time to partially recover.

“The companies in our sector are close and understandable to investors; people see our product, can hold it in their hand and even try it. They perfectly understand what is produced and what is sold. I think the future of the public market is companies that are understandable to physical investors,” Grabar said.

Now the manufacturer will focus on increasing capitalization, this is a key task before the IPO. According to the president of the company, in 2025 the value of Ladoga should reach 40 billion rubles. This is an optimistic forecast, but if we start from the pessimistic scenario, then we are talking about a capitalization of 30 to 33 billion rubles in 2025.

In 2022, due to the crisis caused by the outbreak of the armed conflict, only one company made an initial public offering on the Moscow Stock Exchange: kicksharing Whoosh. Recently, the situation has begun to stabilize: in the fall, Astra Group, a Henderson retailer, placed shares on the Moscow Stock Exchange. Banking software developer Diasoft is planning an initial public offering (IPO) next year.
