The Yango company (an international division of Yandex) launched the Yango Maps navigation service in Dubai with a highly detailed next-generation map, Yango’s press service informed RB.RU.

Yandex international division launched Yango Maps navigation service in Dubai

With the service, you can create walking routes for cars and public transportation.

Yango Maps shows detailed markings, interchange levels, tunnels, traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, speed bumps and traffic islands. The buildings are presented in three-dimensional format, which allows you to see the places of interest. In the case of a dark theme, they appear against the light, like in the city at night.

The service also offers users routes taking into account traffic jams and toll roads, displays speed limits and warns about cameras.

Previously, Yandex.Maps implemented a similar functionality. In October, the service introduced several updates at once:

  • three-dimensional color models of the sights of Moscow and St. Petersburg appeared, which appear backlit when switching to the night theme;
  • A very detailed map has appeared for drivers, on which the roads are shown as in a real city: there are lane markings, parking spaces and traffic islands.

As previously reported, taxi service Yango plans to open its first international office in Dubai in the fourth quarter of this year. From there the company’s divisions around the world will be managed.
