Neuromusic has three available modes – “calm”, “inspired” and “cheerful”. Yandex reports that this type of music is rhythmically tuned, there are no words or pauses in it. To create it, the company used music tracks written in different genres (rock, hip-hop, pop, electronica or ambient) by a neural network. The pieces were performed with virtual instruments. Tens of thousands of compositions and transitions have been made from it.
Yandex promises that music can be played forever. You can listen in Yandex Music mobile apps and Yandex Station. In the latter case, you need to say the voice command “Alice, turn on Neuromusic”.
We tested the innovation. The music sounded really good, but after 5 minutes of playback on Yandex.Station it turned off by itself – there was no “eternity”.
