I watched the film “At the Pike’s Command” in the cinema. Why did he collect billions of rubles (!!!) in a week

Aleksandr Voitinsky’s new film, “At the Command of the Pike,” has been showing in regular distribution for a whole week now.

In just a week from the start of the show, he wisely collected a box office of 1 billion rubles. Of course, he failed to beat the record of “Cheburashka” (a billion in 4 days), but for me personally it was a whole event.

Unlike Dyachenko’s work, there was no large-scale PR campaign here so that the movie would be heard from every corner.

We have already watched the new product and will hasten to share our impressions.

There is a normal scenario here that doesn’t make you want to sleep

What is the movie about: If you go fishing, be prepared to catch the fish of your dreams, the magical Pike, which can fulfill any three of your wishes. Only Emelya let two wishes go to waste, and decided to save the third. Therefore, in order to win victory in the hands of the royal daughter Anfisa, sacrifices to him act without magical power, in the most reasonable way.

And who will be Pike for him, without her skin, an ordinary girl appears as Vasilisa. Together they will have to find the tablecloth-branka, meet the Cat Bayun, go to the dark kingdom of Koshchei and understand that the real miracle is to be with the one whose love.

As is customary in any children’s fairy tale, the plot here is not particularly complex. He is given the simplest possible information, and sometimes even text (especially morality).

I saw in some reviews that there is a political component in the film. Allegedly they are trying to promote it between the lines even in children’s films. Personally, I have not seen anything like this, only the standard victory of good over evil and okolothems. No more than in any other fairy tale.

The story takes place on a light note., it contains humor, although often not the most successful. However, the look is always appropriate, although it may not cause a smile (only some bewilderment).

It seemed surprising to me that there was no memorable fantasy character in the work. So that later you can buy a figurine or a plush toy.

A whole cult has gathered around Cheburashka; only a few mystical animals are represented here. cat Baiyun with the voice of Sergei Burunov. Peculiar, with its own character, but not causing a desire to “own” it for yourself as soon as possible (just look at its design). Well, why? Not everyone is a fan of overtly developed characters. Some people root for the villains, while others will like the “gray mouse”.

Koschey, a participant in the film, is rather a collective image of all Disney villains. Not at all memorable and follows patterns of action.

But this is not even so scary, since other characters are woven into the plot and are pleasing to the eye. What are only two fat brothers worth?

But there is a problem with the film. Who is the focus more on – adults or children? It’s strange to ask such a question for a movie with a 6+ rating, but it’s still there.

The film looks obvious difficulties in finding your resource. For very young children, some moments here will be incomprehensible; some of the jokes were missed. Children of a more conscious age may find the lack of a clearly defined antagonist boring, but they will probably eagerly watch the actions of Emelie and the king.

Adults shouldn’t look for anything here at all. There are some kind of jokes, references to the description of life, but they are so clumsy that they are simply terrible.

Nevertheless, This picture works like a children’s movie. And it works according to the “Last Hero” scheme, which you can’t even try to hide. Looks like we’re in for another big movie franchise.

Graphics are ok, but could be better

Considering the budget in $4.4 million, “At the behest of the pike” was able to show a good picture. But the lack of funds is often obvious, and sophisticated viewers cannot take a serious look at the modern chart.

However, the authors should still be commended for trying to hide the inaccuracies in the preparation of the panache. It’s just a pity that the only “own” thing here is graphic design. The creators of borrowings are clearly not shy. For example, the underwater kingdom is surprisingly very reminiscent of the image in “The Little Mermaid” (not only visually, but also plot-wise).

The result was a certain hodgepodge, in which attempts fit everything at once. But overall it turned out nice, you can look at it without bleeding from your eyes.

In general, it is clear that I am focusing on creating a film that brings in super-profits (this is over a billion rubles in a week). And it has everything for this: a high-quality plot, bright characters, and pleasing graphics. Although not without obvious disadvantages.

You can watch it, especially when there are no fish

“At the Command of the Pike” is a normal movie with a good message, in which there are no prejudices.

Yes, there is a lot of nonsense in it, the graphics are far from ideal. But you can close your eyes to this thanks to a generally good plot that can intrigue and was not written “on the knee”. It did well for a weekend movie and has potential in the future if the franchise decides to move forward.

This is a light, uncomplicated movie that is not embarrassing to watch with children.
