Scientists agree that there are five basic and largely universal elements of attraction.
Proximity. Familiarity breeds attraction. The more often you meet a person somewhere, the stronger the bond between you. Research proves this.
similarities. Recent research has shown that we are influenced by people just like ourselves.
physical attractiveness. From an evolutionary perspective, appearance helps understand the age and health of a potential partner. The smell and sound of the voice also play an important role in this.
reciprocity. You are always more attracted to the person who likes you.
Answerability. One experiment found that people who gave less feedback were rated as less attractive.
The survey, which involved more than 14,000 people from 45 countries, showed that, in general, men prefer physically attractive and younger partners, while women prefer older and financially stable partners.
Living conditions may also have a certain importance. For example, one scientific study showed that the more single people there are in your area, the higher the bar will be.
