MTS, following other operators, will eliminate fees for distributing Internet traffic from mobile devices. The company did not give exact dates, but noted that “due to the technical characteristics of the distribution” it could take “some time.”
The company explained that they cancel the rate in order to create “the most comfortable conditions for mobile Internet consumption for subscribers.” MTS did not say whether they would cancel the Internet distribution fee for tariffs with unlimited packages, Interfax writes.
The FAS ordered the four large operators to cancel Internet distribution rates on September 18. At the end of October 2023, Megafon, Beeline and Tele2 announced that they would stop charging for it. Then MTS refused to comply with the requirements of the FAS, considering its actions legal.
