Google Search Generative Experience (SGE), which powers its search engine with generative artificial intelligence, is now available in Spanish, Portuguese, Korean and Indonesian. This means, of course, that more countries will be able to take advantage of this tool. A total of 120 regions are implementing this useful technology.

Among them there are Mexico, where starting today you can get search results enriched with Google’s generative artificial intelligence. Of course, you won’t see any changes in a regular search engine, at least at the initial stage.

To use generative AI, you’ll need access to Google Search Labs, a program that Mountain View offers for testing tools and applications that are still in development.

Once you join the program (which, by the way, is completely free), you will have two options: use generative search expertise through your computeror from mobile device. For the former, you’ll need to install Chrome, while for the latter, you’ll only need the Google app for iOS or Android. It’s worth noting that there will be a wait of several weeks in the SGE app.

Google is expanding its generative artificial intelligence

What is a generative search experience? Essentially, this is Google’s proposal that combines Chatbot with artificial intelligence in your search engine.

Usually, when we search on Google, we get websites in response. Sometimes useful information or videos are displayed at the top, depending on whether the request requires it.

However, thanks to generative AI, Google’s search engine answers you like a chatbot. That is, including the useful information you need without having to go to the site. Yes, it’s similar to Google’s ChatGPT integration.

Now we have to consider that Google’s generative AI continues to evolve. Hence, your performance may not be as expected. The company’s idea is to get as many people as possible to try it to find out their opinions and improve it. “Our goal in this SGE phase is to get feedback and iterate with our users,” a Google spokesperson said.

One of the main doubts that prevails around SGE is whether Google will allow other browsers to include it in the future, since currently limited to Chrome. Those led by Sundar Pichai, in an interview with the publication EdgeThey chose not to comment on this issue. So it looks like we can soon forget about seeing Google’s generative AI in Firefox, Edge, Safari, Opera, Brave or Vivaldi, to name a few.
