The Ministry of Economic Development has drawn up a draft order on additional measures to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in selling products abroad. The document proposes doubling the amount of subsidies for the transportation of goods abroad, from 500,000 to 1 million rubles, writes Izvestia.
Support of up to 1 million rubles will be provided on co-financing terms: 20% from the company and 80% from export support centers.
According to the director of the Russian Export Center, Veronika Nikishina, only 1% of domestic SMEs export their products. These are just over 60,000 companies out of 6 million, while, according to her, between 130,000 and 140,000 companies have real export potential.
The number of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in 2022 increased by 2% compared to 2021. The Central Federal District (FD) accounts for 32% of small and medium-sized businesses, 17% are registered in the Volga Federal District, 11% in each of the North-Western and Southern Federal Districts, 10% in the Siberian Federal District, 8% belong to the Ural Federal District, 5% to the Far Eastern Federal District, 3% to the Federal of the North Caucasus.
