The press service noted that the average grain yield of the Pokrov 2 variety is 4.9 tons per hectare, which is 12% higher than the yield of the standard Universal-1 variety.
Oats are also moisture-loving plants and are relatively undemanding when it comes to heat. The press service added that the new variety is an excellent choice for the climatic conditions of the Khabarovsk Territory and the Amur Region.
Pokrov 2 variety was obtained by crossing foreign and domestic oat varieties. This new variety has passed environmental research and has successfully adapted to different climatic conditions.
