This is the largest memory capacity available in the pocket SSD market.

T5 EVO supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 data transfer speeds up to 460 MB/s; This is significantly faster than standard hard drives but slower than NVME SSDs like Samsung’s T7 and T9 series.

The T5 has a rectangular design with clips for attaching to luggage and backpacks, and a rubberized surface that protects against drops of up to one and a half meters.

Samsung also includes Dynamic Thermal Protection technology to protect against overheating. The SSD is 95 mm long and 40 inches wide and weighs only 85 grams; which makes it ideal for travel.

The 8TB version of the T5 EVO SSD is available for $650 and can be purchased from Samsung’s website. 2TB and 4TB versions are also available for $190 and $350 respectively.
