We are talking about a new generation of Internet that is significantly superior in speed to the existing main routes. And this network was launched two years earlier than industry experts predicted.
The backbone network, the main bus, connects Beijing in the north to Guangzhou in the south via Wuhan in central China. Moreover, one of the launch participants was Huawei.
Featuring more than 3,000 km of fiber optic cables, this network is capable of transferring data at a speed of 1.2 Tbit per second; This is equivalent to transferring 150 high-quality movies per second and is three times faster than its closest US rival.
Note that the network itself was launched in July and the official launch took place recently. And it has been working quite reliably all this time. Additionally, the network has passed all operational tests.
