The Ministry of Sports has developed standards for training cybersportsmen in Russia. The document is at the stage of public discussion.
The manual suggests testing visual-motor response to light signals and testing the speed of the mouse’s rotary button. The standard is 205 clicks in 30 seconds for men and 195 for women in the same time.
The document also provides a list of the minimum required equipment for testing, including the specifications of computers, monitors, chairs and tables. For example, the computer must have a 10-core processor, 32 GB of RAM and a 4K graphics card. The monitor must support a minimum refresh rate of 144 Hz.
E-sports was officially recognized as a sports discipline in Russia in 2022.
