Investment company X2 and former CEO of Vladimir Potanin’s Lesnaya Skazka Alexander Sinyak received shares in Russian electronics distributor and manufacturer Fplus (formerly Marvel Distribution). Proof of this are the changes in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, to which RB.RU drew attention.
According to the Kontur.Focus service, X-2 LLC owns 19% of F-PLUS EQUIPMENT AND DEVELOPMENT LLC as of November 16. X2 confirmed to RB.RU the fact of the investment, but did not reveal the details of the transaction.
“As part of the investment strategy and implementation of the import independence policy, we are also actively investing in the industrial sector, information technology and education. These areas are now our priority, which is why the agreement with Fplus was closed,” explained Oleg Barabanov, managing partner of X2.
Currently, X2 LLC is 71% owned by manager Oleg Barabanov. Another 25% belongs to Alena Baendaeva, the remaining 4% belongs to Andrei Ivoilov. As evidenced by the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the shares of each participant are pledged to PJSC Bank St. Petersburg. At the same time, it is not specified which parts of the shares are included in the pledge.
In addition to X2, Alexander Sinyak became a member of Fplus and received 6% of the company. Previously, Alexander Sinyak headed Lesnaya Skazka LLC, specializing in real estate. This structure belongs to the Interros of Vladimir Potanin.
Fplus declined to comment on the deal.
After the reorganization of Marvel Distribution’s assets and the emergence of the Fplus holding company, its parent structure became equally owned by Alexey Melnikov and Vladimir Kornev. Melnikov subsequently consolidated 100% of the company. After the entry of new participants, Melnikov’s share was reduced to 75%.
