Yuga Labscreator behind the NFT Bored Ape Yacht Clubrecently confirmed a hacker attack that caused a lot of damage through the account Instagram project employee. We’re talking specifically about an issue that was born on Monday and has now been resolved, with also a warning confirming not to mint new tokens and not open links as the hackers were trying to steal as much money as possible.

The total damage would amount to about 2.5 million dollars in NFT, obtained via Instagram. Apparently in total 133 NFT in total, including 4 from the Bored Ape series. Apparently the scam promised free tokens by connecting their wallets MetaMask through an unofficial link, although it is not clear at the moment how it gained access to the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s account, with Yuga Club not yet having the opportunity to talk about how it will resolve the situation .

In fact, it must be said that at the time of the hacking, two-factor authentication seems to be active, and right now Yuga Labs, together with the Instagram team, are investigating what really happened. As explained by The edge, the main token would be sold for 123 Ethereum, a total of approximately $350,000 at the current exchange rate to the value of the token. As for the 4 Bored Ape, the value would be about a million dollars.

Certainly, problems like this are not uncommon with tokens of this type, with in fact even more similar occurrences already seen in recent months due to hacker attacks and errors that could lead to the loss of tens of millions of dollars.
